Common questions
Pricing, Straight Up
Money questions first, because everyone wants to know before they commit to anything.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Every quote is free and comes with no obligation to book, and the $0 call-out fee applies regardless of what you decide.
Do prices change once you start?
No. The price we quote is the price you pay, with no exceptions. If something changes underground, we stop and talk it through before touching another spanner.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No, it's $0 for us to come out and take a look, and the quote itself is free too.
How does the 10% seniors discount work?
Seniors get 10% off, no card, no eligibility check and no means test. It stacks with the $50 off when you book online, so both offers apply on the same job.
Common questions
Whose Drain Is It, and Who Can Touch It
Who's responsible and who's qualified matters as much as the tools we use.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold NSW plumbing licence #275278C, we're Master Plumber accredited, and every job is covered by $20 million public liability insurance.
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
A plunger on a blocked toilet is worth trying first. Chemical cleaners and hired electric eels carry more risk than people expect, and any real drainage work in NSW legally needs a licensed plumber.
Do wipes really block drains?
Yes, even the ones labelled flushable. They don't break down like toilet paper, so they snag on rough joints and roots and build into a blockage over time.
What warranty do I get?
Our labour carries a lifetime warranty. If it's not right, we come back. No questions. No cost.
Common questions
How Fast We Get to You
Response matters most when water's already where it shouldn't be.
How fast can you get here?
We guarantee a plumber at your door in 30 minutes. It's a flat promise, not an average, and it applies across Sutherland and the suburbs around it.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes, 365 days a year including weekends and public holidays. A real person answers the phone, day or night, not a machine.
What happens after I call?
A licensed local plumber answers and talks through what's going on, then we get someone on the road. You agree to a fixed price before any work starts.
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage coming back up through a fixture, a gully overflowing onto the yard, or a toilet that keeps refilling without clearing all count as urgent. Call straight away rather than waiting it out.
Common questions
Working in and Around Sutherland
The local questions we get, answered straight.
What suburbs do you service?
We work right across Sutherland and the surrounding Sutherland Shire area, including Kirrawee, Jannali, Gymea, Engadine and Gymea Bay. Every suburb on that list has its own page if you'd like the detail.
How local are you, really?
We're in Sutherland and the surrounding streets most weeks, not flying in from across Sydney for the odd job. It's our regular run, not a one-off callout zone.
Why do Sutherland's older drains keep blocking?
A lot of the suburb's mid-century homes were plumbed with earthenware clay pipes that crack and misalign with age. Roots and silt get into those cracked joints and choke the line again and again, especially as spring growth pushes roots wider.
Do you work on strata and apartment blocks?
Yes. Sutherland's mix of older detached streets and denser unit blocks near the station means we handle shared drainage lines as often as standalone house connections. Committees dealing with a recurring blockage on a shared line usually call us for exactly that reason.
